Diagram of MBT shoe construction

"MBT doesn't simply guide and cushion your feet, it changes the loading on your spine and encourages the postural muscles to be more reactive and supportive. They really do work."

Time Out

How does MBT work?

MBT uses a unique multi-layered sole design which changes hard, flat, man-made surfaces into naturally uneven ground and recreates the effect of walking on the natural ground which our bodies were designed to do.

Where conventional footeware simply supports and cussions our feet, MBT's unique construction forces the soles of our feet and the postural muscle system to be more exercise and provides more exercise and activity.

This increased muscular activity then goes on to provide more support and reduces shock to our joints and back.

By walking more upright we not only look better but we feel better as it provides a constant work-out which leaves us healthier and stronger. Our back and joints are strengthened and our circulation and breathing improve, whether we are walking, jogging or even standing still.

The exercise is similar to that you would receive whilse balancing a ball under your foot. Your muscles make constant tiny adjustments in a range of directions and exercise in a way that convention shoes simply do not allow.
