Medical and Therapy - More

MBT forces you to rebalance and to walk upright. Rebalancing to your optimum postural alignment means that your muscles are working to support you, instead of overloading joints.

Through the action of a tension interchange of the muscles, when properly toned, they become shock absorbers for the joints and through this the body experiences release of tension, relaxation and improved circulation. In short, the effects of walking with MBT are both training and “massage”.

MBT is a therapeutic aid that can be used in the treatment of*:

  • Arthitic conditions of the joints and spine
  • Circulatory problems
  • Balance disorders
  • Neurological conditions
  • Back pain and chronic pain conditions
  • Soft tissue injuries

MBTs are also an excellent way to:

  • Optimise your health, fitness and well-being
  • Get the maximal benefit out of your rehabilitation from ijuries
  • To pre-rehab and strengthen your body prior to surgery, joint replacement and pregnancy
  • Recover from pregnancy
  • Get the most from your physiotherapy / osteopathy / chiropractic / podiatric / chiropody / Alexander Technique / Feldencrais / Pilates / Yoga or any other holistic program for health, fitness and well-being.

* Use of MBT is not a substitute for consultation with a qualified medical professional. If using MBTs for a medical condition please consult with an appropriately qualified medical professional.

The Correct Application of MBT acheives:

  • Automatic alignment of the axes of the feet
  • Alignment of the pelvis and the back
  • Balances the whole body
  • Activation of muscles throughout the whole body (abdominal, pelvic floor and other deep muscles, legs, back and buttock)
  • Lengthens and strengthens the whole body
  • Relief of joints
  • Stimulation of circulation helping reduce cellulite and varicose veins
  • Improvement of flexibility
